A tuned mass rocking wall (TMRW) is a passive control device that combines the merits of traditional damper (TMD) and (RW). TMRWs not only help avoid weak story failure host structure but can also be regarded as largely substructure in building structure. Through appropriate design frequency ratio, dissipate much more energy under earthquake excitations. In this paper, basic equations motion for mechanical model an SDOF structure-rigid are established, optimization formulas ratio damping TMRW derived. dynamic elastoplastic analysis six-story TMRW-frame model, applicability derived parameter effectiveness seismic performance investigated. The results demonstrate coordinate uneven displacement angle between stories Additionally, found to possess merit reducing both peak root-mean-square (RMS) structural responses when subjected different types
